ABOUT THE EXHIBITION

Culture and tradition is one of the leading causes of conflict in our society. Whether that occurs within one country or across multiple, the results that follow can be catastrophic. However, tradition and cultural diversity are an important part of life. It allows us to connect with individuals and see things from a whole new perspective. This has the power to be transformative and beneficial to everyone around the world. The exhibition will bring together Houston artists to display works that transmit messages of who we are as people, embracing our differences, celebrating our cultural diversity and embracing our common humanity. This exhibition, the second ART+AFRICA exhibition in Houston, will feature approximately four Houston artists every week during Black History Month
